Welcome!  The Federation was founded in 1980.  Our affiliates represent more than 9,000 members throughout the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.  

 

In 1999, with the creation of a new territory, our name changed

From the Northwest Territories Federation of Labour to

the Northern Territories Federation of Labour and our members include affiliates from the NWT and Nunavut.

 

We are proudly affiliated with the Canadian Labour Congress.   Join us for NAOSH week barbecues, Labour Day and May 1 celebrations, Day of Mourning (April 28), safety training, elections training, and more across the North.
